Totally the Donnas, don't let the all girl line up fool you, girls rock, and these are the ones that rock the most, the guitarist is so awesom it's crazy, check out "Spend the Night", that's one of their best. As far as bass riffs go Mike of Green Day does some of the best, but the bassist of Rancid does it even better. It doesn't matter what Rancid album you get, he kicks bum on all of them. I hope you give them a listen!

If you like AC/DC, you might wanna try some bands/artists like Deep Purple (who also have some awesome bass riffs), Alice Cooper, Black Sabbath, The Clash, Bachman Turner Overdrive, Led Zeppelin, Mott The Hoople, some Queen stuff, The Ramones, Rose Tattoo, The Angels, The Who, Thin Lizzy, Twisted Sister, and Van Halen, just to name a few old bands. Also, as far as new bands go, have you listened to people such as Wolfmother and Jet? They sound like the kind of thing you might like too. Hope this helps!

If you're looking for some awesome bass check out "No More Tears" by Ozzy Osbourne

I would also recomend Rush, Geddy Lee is a fiend on the bass from time to time

Led Zeppelin has some heavy head banging songs out there like "Black Dog" "The Immigrant Song" "Achilles Last Stand"
"Communication Breakdown"

oooh and check out "My Generation" by The Who, I believe one of the first bass solos ever is on that track

Nine Inch Nails plays with bass riffs in weird ways.
Prince unbelievable stuff with guitars.

But check out Pandora.com. You put in a song or artist that you like, and it plays other stuff it thinks you might like, based on whatever you give them. You can create as many "stations" as you want, and you can look at other people's. It's pretty sweet.
