I have ubuntu installed on my computer, but there are blue virtical lines on the screen, i beleave this is because the computer settings are wrong, if i am right, ho can it be fixed, if i am wrong, how can this be fixed. i have 2 OS and only Ubuntu displays the blue dotted lines!

Display frequency, usually some setting right on the monitor, because unless the two drivers are identical the refresh rate is somewhat off and cause these, my analog LCD does that all the time

Try the following: reinstalling Ubuntu, installing a different version of Linux, updating your drivers for your video card. If possible, find the most recent update for your video card drivers for Linux and install it on Ubuntu. That's all I can say.

And for the guy who said Ubuntu is not compatible with your screen: the screen does not matter - as long as it works with one system it should work with another. Its to do with the graphics card, 99% of such cases.
