stairs if elevator is taking to long, less than 8 floors, if all elevators are crowded.
elevators if stairs are not operable, need to get to a meeting, above 8 floors.
now the real question is do you take the ESCALATOR?

If its just me, i take the stairs, but if my kids are with and there are A LOT of stairs we take the elevator. But if we only have to go up a couple floors, then i even make them take the stairs. I refuse to have fat kids.
