I do not understand why so many women want to have babies or even think about it with men that they are not married to? Do people not care about morals and the family anymore? I am not trying to offend people this is my personal opinion obviously but does anyone else understand what I mean. It seems like these *girls* use up so much money of welfare, medicaid, WIC, this and that. Why dont they just take birth control or maybe not sleep around until their married. I just find in sickening that a woman can sleep around so much before marriage and I dont understand why todays society does not agree. What is happening to this society? It has no ethics what so ever anymore. Its sad!

Yes of course I do not mean mothers I mean fathers as well, I should have mentioned that sorry!
I am not trying to judge or be God what so ever thats for sure. I am staying an opinion which we all have. Just the people who feel threatened by what I say have something bad to say.

When sex and love become separate sex becomes nothing more than a primordial act void of responsibilities that go along with procreation. Sex without love spawns indignation and resentment. How can any relationship survive that let alone baby responsibilities.

While I agree that today's youths' values have gone down, don't be so quick to judge and generalize.
I had my first child at 20. My boyfriend and I had been together a little over a year, and had been friends for years before that. We didn't get married right away because we couldn't afford it, and we wanted a nice, quaint little wedding.
Well finally, when my first child was seven, and my baby was 1, we got married on Halloween night, in a unique, fun and beautiful little ceremony surrounded by 80 people---our closest family and friends.
We have been together for over a decade. We have a strong relationship, and we believe we teach our children morals and values as best as we can.
Life is always what you make it. We may have made some big decisions early in life; but we worked hard on loving one another and raising our kids right.
Now---what's so bad, or innapropriate about that?
This isn't 1950 anymore. While I agree with some of the more old fashioned values, I do think every situation is unique and should be taken as such. An open mind, capable of love, compassion and understanding is the REAL rule; not some outdated ettiquette for 1950's trophy Stepford wives.
Women should support one another, not tear one another down over some outdated concept that was set by men in the first place.
Open your heart and eyes. You will see some of the most amazing and loving relationships are not always the perfectly traditional ones. :)

I agree. I was 24 when my daughter was born. I made up my mind as a young girl that I would not become a young mother on welfare. Seeing mother's have to ride the bus around with their babies looked sad to me. Growing up on welfare was also a great deterrent. I have a different understanding of life than my mother who had me at 18. We just have to be sure to raise our daughters better and maybe be more stricter. Letting society raise our daughters is a big mistake.

Dude, your ignorance and arrogance are astounding. What about my friend, who has two children by two different fathers and now runs herself ragged working 20 hours a day at two self-owned businesses to pay the bills? The first father ended up on drugs and eventually pulled a knife on her. She took it away and kicked his a ss. The second is a self-loathing homosexual who was using her to prove he wasn't queer. You really think she should have married one of these wretches? You really think she's somehow deserving of scorn for her poor choices in relationships? Kee-rist, you need to get out into the real world and see some genuine tragedy before you start making pronouncements like this one.

you're right - I wish I wasn't born my father never showed up but tell you what not all mothers are bad; my mother had a hard time raising me but she did her part very well and tried her best to give me whatever I deserved in life so far. Your question is somewhat offensive but I personally don't take offense. God bless you.

it brought a disgrace to the word Mother.we should not cultivate that habit and we should not encourage. some poor fellows in their youngae do like that .they thought that the work done by them is good. if we ask Kunti in Bharatam did like that .why dont we .so let us not encourage to save future generation

What you just said and it is the ultimate in selfishness. Whatever happened to trying to give your kids the best start possible? When did this stop including a father figure? Let's be fair though. The father's who aren't stepping up to their responsibilities as a man are equally to blame.

I agree - but I guess I am old enough to be your Mom anyhow!
I don't think they realise the impact it will have on their lives either.
