I missed my court payment date about a week ago. Will I be arrested for missing it, or can I still pay it today and everything will be peachy?

they, on condition of statutory requirements can charge interest on those payments

if there is repeated and deliberate attempt to not pay, then you can be charged for something like contempt

I was 2 weeks late on paying my monthly court fee for a DUI misdemeanor conviction and I owed approximately $2100 in "Court costs" at that time. I am on probation until October. Here in Illinois I was charged approximately $750 late fee and my case went to a collection agency. Is this a "typical" interest rate/penalty for such infractions for most counties in the U.S.? In the county "next door" I know a woman who similarly missed a payment on her 3rd DUI charge and they told her at the Circuit Clerk s office there that "they don t charge interest on late payments by people on probation." Here they told me "You should have read the fine print" and "You wouldn t believe the sob stories I hear." I am just interested in seeing how these interest rates differ around the country, particularly in Illinois counties. I think that s a very extreme penalty for me.

like you missed a court date? you probably have a warrant out then. call them and tell them you can pay it now and something happened were you couldnt make it. dont go there in person to ask that question because you might not be able to leave. are you on probation? im tired of it

If you are on probation call your P.O. first. but never the less make the payment a.s.a.p. Act before acted upon. its usually a more positive outcome that way. good luck!

Get in there and pay it today and this weeks too, if you can manage it. There shouldn't be any repercussions.
