Protected? If you take birth control it is 99.9% efficient from getting pregnent... or they say 1 women out of 100 women who use bc pills in a year would be pregnent. They say you should take bc pills for a month before having unprotected sex, but then again I've recently red that when you start taking your bc pills right when your period starts it is safe because the bc pills should have prevented the egg from becoming released... Just wait for a month anyways for the staying at the safe side and try to take it around the same time everyday... If you miss a day take two immediately for two days

You should be taking your birth control everyday at the same time to prevent unwanted pregnancies. The pack of bc pills usually says to have protected sex for at least 7 days. But continue to have protected intercourse to prevent an unwanted pregnancy.

Any doctor will tell you one week, trust me. My wife takes birth control pills, and once or twice, we have been unable to afford a refill, therefore, we go off sex until we can afford more( :( ), and then must wait another week, until the medicine has time to do it's thing.

it depends.. like, say u r married.. and, u wanna have birth control.. then, its not necessarily that u shud await or prevent urselves from having the sex.. you may use condoms n control the birth.. and, u say how long..!!??!!! that all depens on your urge to have children.

The best answer to this is, ask your intuition.. Rely upon your partner.. discuss the thing with him and everything explores voyeuristically..!!

Completely safely, I'd say probably 2 weeks. But it should say in the paper that comes with the pills.

Are you taking a pill, the shot, or I don't know what's its called but they put it under your skin.
The pill takes longer about one to two months depending on the strength. Lower dosage pills takes more time...
The shot takes about two weeks
The thing you put under skin takes about a week.

Please remember to always use a condom because you never know where the guy's thing has been. You don't want to get any thing that can't be "washed off".
Be careful!!!

It takes seven days to get into your system completely. I like to hear that someone is asking a positive ? and its good to know you will still be having protected sex. That's unusual these days.

usually your doctor will inform you. But from my experience- my doctor told me to wait a full week before the pills actually became effective. 2 weeks would probabaly be safer.
