What are the chances I could find free parking within a half-mile or so of the ballpark? And if that's not gonna happen, how much will I have to pay to park in a lot or ramp?

I like to get to the park 2-3 hours before the actual game... would that make it any easier to find a spot?

Thanks!

If the game is on Sunday, parking is free everywhere in the City, so getting there early will guarantee you a spot somewhere for sure. If the game isn't on a Sunday, then I'd recommend parking at any BART station or taking the train and just hoofing it to the game. It's good exercise and it's stress free.

There's no parking anywhere for free around that place. I found once last summer a lot almost under the bridge for like $12 or $15 and then had to walk all the way down there. Your best bet is to take BART, Caltrain or Ferry to the game. I avoid driving to games there at all costs.

It's best to take the Cal Train or Amtrak from a nearby city, such as San Bruno, Stanford, or Hillsdale, Ca. Parking fees are horrendous at AT & T Park in San Francisco.
You can make it a day event to tour around the city. There are many eccletic stores and reputable malls there. Two zones (Hillsdale to SF) will cost you $8.00 roundtrip.

Go to http://www.caltrain.org for scheduling information.

Getting there three hours before the game would probably get you a parking space, especially if it's a weekend and you don't have the workforce taking up the spots.

Park somewhere outside of the city, take BART to Embarcadero Station and transfer to the Muni streetcar to the Park.

I wish Barry Bonds could bust my windshield with one of his bombs. That would be an honor!
