2 possibilities. first your alternator might be bad. or your battery is bad. they do wear out. go to a national parts store like auto zone and have them test the battery and the alternator. it's a simple test and they will generally do it for free. keep in mind that if your alternator was bad your car would die after about a half hour of driving. and i just thought of a third possibility- make sure the belt that drives your alternator is set at the proper tension.

if its an old battery, it may be bad, if its new u may have something drawing power (something left on, or a short somewhere) the alternator my also be bad, and easy way to check that (be careful) while it running, pull off the POSITIVE battery cable, if it stays running, the alternator it OK
if the alt. it ok disconect the positive bat. cable, charg the battery, turn every thing off, if u have a hood light pull out the bulb, then touch the cable to the battery, if there is a big spark something it drawing power if there isnt anything, or just a small spark, take your battery to napa to get it tested

probably a bad alternator, a battery drain or a bad cell in the battery.... if your alternator is working then it's either a battery drain, that is something staying on when the key is off like a light in the glove box staying on or in the trunk, under hood. You can put a amp meter between a disconnected battery cable and the battery to see if anything is drawing amps. A bad cell in the battery.... the older batteries you could take off the caps and check each cell with the one next to it for a low volt reading...if you see a big difference in voltage then the cell is bad which would draw electricity from the other cells till the battery is dead.
FYI...did you know you can tell old antifreeze with a amp. reading, old antifreeze can create volts that why the new cars have plastic radiators..that can pull volts too but not likely....anyway just weird info that really means nothing to most ppl.....ify caveman just gave you an answer that could blow your ecm if you pull battery cable....alt. would spike and could burn ecm. then you have two problems...
ok one more edit then i'm done...you could just take the car to a auto parts store and have them check...most do it for free. then go from there.

take your car to autozone and have them check your battery and altenator for charging problems, if its the altenator its probably a easy fix but it also could be a drain off of something else or a electric pull, usually this would take a while thou, if its a fast drain like within a couple of hours its probably your altenator or a bad cell in the battery

Unless you have a short in your electrical system, you probably have shorted plates in the battery.
If the alternator is fine, I would suggest going to the part store and having it tested. You should be able to find one that will do it for free.

if your battery won't stay charged, then the aletrnator, which is responsible for charging the battery, is faulty.

check your alternator see if it is charging right.
when a battery heats up they wont start..... see if exhaust manifold is making it heat up!
also check and see if battery is moving around and making cables lose!
