most of the time a lie is easier to sound better than the truth. and some people cant take the truth so easy as a lie. so in turn they build a bigger hole for themselves and in the end they figure out the truth was better but then its too late.

Coz the truth would result in more havoc and problems. So one thinks that a lie will cover it up and can prevent that happening.

The main reason is fear. The next reason would be greed. To harm others would be somewhere near the top. There are other reasons such as pride and impressing others.

To make things ok in their own minds. To try to impress. To hurt people. Most people don't think before they do. Lying is dangerous. Yet, I read where everyone lies. I can only hope this isn't so.
