I was just thinking about this and was wondering if this is true? How would you explain this concept?

Pride is a "show."
"Having pride" is compensatory behavior--"making up for" weakness.
Pride is the window through which to see the low self-confidence.

I am an expert on this! Yes, I believe it is possible because I am and I do! When I'm at work, or home, or whatever I am doing, I take pride in it. I wnt my work to look good, I want to look good. I take pride in my appearance. I'm not concerned with what others think about how my work looks, or how I look...it's self-gratifying for ME
As for self confidence...I have NONE...While I am a very successful person, I rarely feel as if I'm doing a good job, or that I look my best. How is this possible, I have no idea, it's just the way I am!
I'm NOT remotely insecure! I have been and I know the difference.
I don't know, I think the answer to your question is ABSOLUTELY!

I wont even try to intrude on the concept>time will not allow. So let's wort out the problem.Self confidence is something we need to over come anything that may hinder us,yet it is what we need to rise and become all we can.Having pride in what we do is what gives us the confidence to will and to do.How much or how little you have will reflect how far you go

I think that this is a very real possibility. Sometimes I think that those who
are prideful and arrogant have very little self confidence so that's why they
act like they do. Does this sound right to you?

yes if you take pride in things you have no control over like ethnicity, color, gender and sexual preference for example

or even just how pretty you are. these are non accomplishments and they are exactly the sort of pride that is referred to when Pride is called a SIN.

pride in something you achieve is perfectly legitimate.

Self confidence is proud and deserves to be so. But to be too proud to accept reality is not self confidence, it is insecurity.

confidence, as I know it is that because you have accomplished something then you have the feeling that spurns you on to your next project.
