Am getting very high quote too. $300. Has anyone had this replaced with a junkyard part?

what is going to set you back is the labor, not the part, you have to get to an internal part of the engine, however it is well worth it. I would suggest finding a "backyard" mechanic or even at a trade school, where "budding" students are learing their skills. A "you pull it" junkyard may have the part(s) and it will be minimal. Toyota's are worth the TLC, simply because they ARE built to last, but as with anything, parts do wear-out

labor in tenessee is 125 to 170 in labor a used pump will run between 50 to 75 dollars so ttl is between 175 to 255 depends on shop and were you live i would charge about 200 but if the pump is new i would say 300 is real close
