Did you bleed them? what are the symptoms, does the pedal go to the floor, or is there pressure, and the car not stop?. Is it the front or rear system that has the problem. You need to define the problem in greater detail, for anyone to wager a guess. Also what year and model of car? Does it have antilock brakes?

Change leaking calipers. But before finishing the job fill the master cylinder and bleed the lines of air. Once there is no air pump the service brake like crazy with the motor on to build pressure. You should be fine there after.

did you bench bleed the master cylinder?, if not you have a lot of air in the whole system, the easiest thing to try is open all 4 bleeders and fill the reservoir and go to bed and let nature gravity bleed the system overnight.
