Remember in the movies when the U.S. Calvary rode up in westerns and when the horses and riders all came to a stop, a cloud of dust just keep tumbling ahead for a moment? Well, life looks lucky when you're boozed up and high because, well, you are basically blocking out the full spectrum of human experience with neurological chemical depressants, such as booze. It's called "cherry-picking", just living the fun for the moment and putting off the other long-term personal investment stuff. Then, when the party ends, there's the glare of full-spectrum reality to get used to, a reality that tumbles over you like that cloud of dust when the Calvary stops. There is no such thing as luck. You make good fortune happen through healthy ways and hard work. While you were partying and getting drunk, other people in your shoes were applying themselves in more fruitful ways, working, saving money, making stuff in their homes to sell like paintings or working on hobbies that lead to getting a better job than you have sorta "good luck". When we cherry-pick for just the fun stuff in life, we are actually tapping into and using up our future "good luck", so to say. In other words, there's a price to pay for fun. Spread the fun out in a balance with working toward meaningful goals, and the cost, the good luck, will spread out more evenly, too.

Karma- the law of attraction and Christianity as well as other beliefs all have the same answer to your question-
We get what we give- We get what we concentrate on- and we need to be more positive and in the attitude of service not sacrifice-
there are wonderful things coming your way- there are many things you will learn and get from the hard times- if you see the lessons and share- I hope for you all you hope for yourself- stay positive and the world will seem much brighter!

It's called individual perception. When I see in a good way, even a bad thing may look as good as a good one and vice versa. What you have got now is a maturity and sort of self realization. You think that you are alone and unlucky when you feel good because of your past activities and accomaniments. So be as you feel and as you want to be ;-)

The person changes...
Maybe it's just me, but sometimes it seems like bad people do not get hurt as much as they hurt others and good people get hurt more than less good people. Though in the end bad people get what they deserve. However, that is at the very end when they have hurt so many others that what happens to them is not nearly as bad as what should happen to them. But I don't know, maybe it's just me..

You will become what you think you are.
Things happening is for good only, and soon situation will become comfortable.
Changes happens with in you, effects the environment too. So there is nothing like unluck. As your thoughts are good now, everything becomes stable soon. By then you believe in your self.

what are good things? were those good things really good? look at each thing that happens or doesnt happen and think what is the message behind it, what you've learnt from it and how it helps you move towards the purpose of your life...
then you'll see that even things that look "un-good" have lots of goodity (yes goodity) in them.
