Larry Johnson is holding out. He is such a big risk right now. He isn't worth taking in the first round. Steven Jackson is a great back. He gets the job done every game and doesn't ask for more money or anything like that. Jackson is a better choice in Fantasy Football right now.

I suppose by that question that you mean who's better...?

If so, I'll give the edge to Steven Jackson.

HUH, I hear you cry. He plays in the weaker conference, and he doesn't put up a ton of yardage.

That's not the point. He's a beast when running, shows plenty of upside when catching the ball out of the backfield, and since becoming the starter in St. Louis, he has played hard and with a passion, and most importantly, hasn't had many people lamenting the loss/retirement of Marshall Faulk.

Don't get me wrong, Larry Johnson is a good rusher, but sooner or later he's going to burn out if Herm Edwards keeps feeding him the ball and showing little imagination with his offense. 752 carries in 2 years is WAY too much. If it carries on, he'll break down long before the traditional age of 30+.

I just feel that Jackson has more all-round talent, and if you set him against the meanest of AFC defences 12 weeks out of 16, he wouldn't look out of place.

Depends on the type of league.

If you are in a points-per-reception (PPR) league, it's definitely Steven Jackson.

Even in standard leagues, it's probably Steven Jackson. Larry Johnson is going to be dealing with an un-seasoned quarterback and a line that has lost a couple key players in the last couple of years.

Don't forget that Steven Jackson finished last year in BIG fashion - I'm proud to say that one of my championships last year was a benefactor of that performance...

Good luck/

I have to part ways with those that answered before me.

LJ is going to see 30+ carries per game, whereas Steven Jackson is lucky to see 25. On that basis alone, I'd assign more value to the LJ stock then Steven Jackson's.

I think the premier RBs in FF this year is LT, LJ, and SJ in that order. (although I wonder about that Maroney guy, How good is he?)

Steven Jackson, 4sure! I know the rams drafted a new back, but Jackson is a beast. Last year in my league, I drafted him 3rd. This year he diffenitly bumped up to 2nd

Definately take SJAX. The way he played last year was great and it set him up to have a great season this year. LJ was used a lot last year, and with the loss of some of his O-Line he won't do as well as everyone expects him to. Also, the way he has been getting the ball could force him to get injured to leave games earlier. SJAX will be a beast and should have a top-tier season. Hope this helps.

S Jackson, he had over 800 yards receiving last year. He gets planty of carries and catches. I had him last year and won several games on this guy.
