Has 4 wires green light green purple and brown from the throttle. Green light green lead to a plug below the solenoid a blue from the hydralics go there to. The brown and purple are disconnected brown looks to be a ground dont no where they go. Theres two solenoids on motor on the opposite side of the plug in theres a green comes out and connects to the solenoid above the light green comes out red to the same solenoid and another red from that one that goes to the other solenoid and the blue goes to the other solenoid. Above the plug from that solenoid theres a big green where that connects from there to inside the tilt motor and another from inside motor to other solenoid. theres a black wire that connects one solenoid to other. A black connecting from top of motor to the other solenoid and the pos/neg from that solenoid to battery. Would the purple and brown be the power for the up and down theres also four other wires b.g.r.w the r.w. are connected to the battery. maybe clean conn.

This is hard to follow. Here what you need, a Test Light. Then you can "See" what going on.
This sounds like a Mercury.
How this motor works, it is 12 volt and have three wires coming from the motor. One should be black and easy to see it the Ground (Negative on battery).
The other two are Positive Leads and go to the Solenoids. All this do is change which direction the motor turn. This how it pumps the fluid for Up/Down, by the direction it turn.
See the Positive wire for the battery, it always should be hot on both Solenoids. Touch your Test Light to Those wires and clip the other wire to the ground on the motor and the light should come on. Then we know we have power to the motor (First thing you do)!
Once you have power to the motor you want to check the motor to see if it work. If, the Negative is already connected then run a hot wire to one of the other wires from the motor "Direct" to that wire and see if the motor spin, then do the other wire. If, the motor not work it needs fixed before you do much more. IF, you are not familiar with this then you may want to remove the motor/pump and take to a Alternator/Starter repair shop, they can fix.
Next you want to use your test light to check that the Up/Down buttons are getting positive from the battery. All these buttons do is work like a light switch. Positive is always hot and should light the test light. If it not hot find out why, may be a fuse. When you push a button it sends a Positive to one solenoid and that allows the positive to go to your motor.
Next it to test the Up/Down buttons. Staying at the Pump clip on ground touch the test light to one of the wires and have someone push the "Up" button, you may have to touch the other wires to find which is hot and up. Then do the same for the Down button. Once you know up/down then you can go from there and connect wires. All these do is click a solenoid so hot from the battery goes to hot on the motor and it turn. IF, you get the wires on the wrong solenoid all it will do is go up when you push the down button, so, swap them around.

Start by checking for voltage at the solenoid switches. When you push the up or down button it should energize one of the smaller wires which will in turn energize the solenoid. You could have a bad solenoid, bad connection or bad pump
Good luck

I have a 05 Suntracker Party Barge . The trim will go down when I hit the down button , but will Not go Up when I hit the Up side of the button .. Here is my Kicker .. I have a Trailer toggle switch for the trim on the mortor to raise the Motor for trailering .. If this Button will raise the motor why wont the trim button on the shifter not raise it .. You can hear a slite start of the up trim but then it doesn't move from there .. Does the boat have to be In motion for the motor to trim up using the Shifter trim button ?
