I go to high school. My friends act like my friends at school, nice and cheery, and always there for me - well, at school.

But when I try to get together with them, they are always busy, and make excuses. But then I find out their lieing and their hanging out with the rest of our group. What should I do and why are they doing this?

Sounds like flakey friends.
And flakey + dishonest is really even more so lame.
I hate that.
This is the difference between aquaintences and real friends. I would recomend meeting some new people.

I'm sorry, but to me they do not sound like real friends. I had a bunch of friends like that, now i don't talk to them at all.
You do find as you get older, that people do use you, some are not friends just acquaintances.

Doesn't make sense?

Make new friends. Or try and speak to your current friends and find out the reason behind them acting like that.

Talk to them and explain the way you are feeling. They may not realize they are doing this and apologize for leaving you out. Before you jump to a bad conclusion, just ask them. If they truly are your friends then they will give you a truthful answer. Good luck!

These people don't sound like real friends. You could talk to them and figure out whats going on but i really suggest you finding other people to hang out with.

They are avoiding you for some reason. Talk to them and find out what is going on. It might be that they think you are the one with the problem.

Well that always happens to me wherever I go, but they do it to me because (i cant stand saying it because people think im bragging) I am the "smart one" at all the schools i have gone to, and they would act like my friends and talk to me and everything, but when we were in the classroom all they wanted to know where answers to questions, and wanted me to do things for them, so maybe they are just using you like they did me. i cant really tell.

sorry
i wasnt much help

Actually, being the jerk that I am, I do that to one of my friends sometimes. It's just because we have absolutely nothing in common. I don't hate her or anything, I just prefer other people.

I'm not saying that my situation IS like yours, but it's possible that your friends feel this way, too.

dont be stupid..those aren't ur real friends..and the only reason ur asking for advice on it..is cuz ur doubting they're ur friends 2..i dont mean to come off as harsh..but trust urself..dont ever pay to be in peoples company...life is jus 2 short to be waiting on a lost cause..just ditch them cuz they've obvisiously dumped you

If you have to ask if your friends are you real friends, that means that your instincts are telling you no. The greatest lesson in life is to trust your instincts because they are gifts from God.
