Yes, one only regrets the supposed misfortune of oneself or the misdeed of another. We subconsciously ignore our mistakes and thereby miss an opportunity to learn from them.

No many regret things of all natures- I regret not learning from my mistakes sooner - not the mistakes-
If we could learn without them would be nice- but all things can work for the good for there are 2 sides to everything and a reason for that-
" Regrets I 've had a few but then again too few to mention!"

I don't regret my mistakes because I learned from them. Some people regret making them, but they're fools for regretting what it made them learn. So in a way, if every person thought the first way, you'd be right. But because some people do not recognize the gift of making a mistake to experience, it's incorrect in the same.

Mistakes are often our best teachers & help to make us who we are so we can't regret them.
Regret is a waste of emotion. You can't go back & change anything so you might as well focus on the present which you can control. It would be wrong to go back, even if we could. Our actions have a domino or butterfly effect. One leads to the next. So if you undid one act it would unravel the fabric of your life & change things that you wouldn't want to change, the good things that evolved out of a bad situation...
