I get SSI and most of the time I get my check on the first day of the month but sometimes I get it a few days earlier on the 29th or 30th, why does it vary?

I would assume it varies because they cut checks only so many times a month and on certain days, depending on when those days fall during the calendar will determine when you receive them (ie, no mail on Sundays).

Hopefully you are getting SSI benefits due to some serious issue beyond your control and you are unable to work doing anything. I assume you are also a legal citizen. I know many people the scam SSI. SSI has become another tool for government to hand out free money to people and then they wonder why the can't pay benefits for people that have paid into the system for decades.

Good luck with withever your ailment or issue is, I hope you recover and get back to being a productive part of our society. If you are unable to then I hope you live comfortably and appreciate everything the rest of us are able to provide for you.

Take care and God Bless.

If the first of the month falls on a Saturday or Sunday, you will get it the Friday before the first.
