Robos are outstanding pets yet once you like a puppy to shelter and grow to be very tame i could choose for the Syrian...your terrific guess is easily to pass to a sturdy breeder than handles the hamsters from a youthful age as they're lots extra possibly to grow to be tame like your final hamster. puppy keep hamsters are slightly a lottery, they arrive from merciless mass breeders who on no account shelter whilst they're youthful, often times you get a healthful friendly hamster often times you get an insane nutter or a genetic illness. Cats and hams could be stored interior an identical abode advantageous...I even have ferrets and that i additionally keep birds, rats and sugar gliders which they could consume given one million/2 a great gamble and all my animals are advantageous, you only could desire to be careful. The cats are older so could desire to no longer complication with the hamster yet have been I you i could pay respectable money for a robust, nicely made cage...no longer a Habitrail too many hamsters chew out of those and in a house with cats thats a great danger.

We had a hamster escape one time and found him wandering around outside in the yard a week later...but after 5 years I'd say it's time to move on

I doubt it. A typical lifespan of a hamster is 2-3 years.

that happened to me once too, moved into a new apartment, the hamster got out of his cage, and disappeared....we think he went outside through the dryer vent which was the only exit at the time

Hamsters dont live that long! Get a new one, a little late to be concerned about one that died 5 years ago, seriously!

I lost one and had to tear a metal sink apart to get it.
It took days to find it and if that wasn't bad enough, I
was washing the floor and he crawled in and landed
on the sponge. How many lives do these creatures
have? Hope you find him but it's doubtful now. But good
luck anyway!!

If you do find him you should give him a nice burial cause he most likely went to hamster heaven a long time ago.
