If there is a net movement of food from tropical toward temperate or polar regions, the earth's rotation could speed up. Think of the skater twirling faster when she brings her arms in. To say the effect is miniscule is an understatement.

Apart from the space dust accumulating, the net mass of the earth doesnt change because of obesity of a populace. This is because mass is not destroyed in the process, it just gets converted into another form.

Dont know what effects excess of methane might bring to the environment!

Well if we stopped bloody biggie-sizing already too fat and too greasy McDonald's Bird Burgers, we wouldn't have to worry about this! I think the rotation will be affected. Because the fat people in America refuse to give their fat-on-a-bun to those who really need it! It will also reflect on our enviorment! Cutting down more tree's to build more McDonalds. And people throwing their big mac wrappers in the street! I honestly wish we would gain more common sense!

Ha ha. It might speed up, but ever so slightly. It would be negligible, with no effects on the environment.
