No longer than anyone else's, but it can feel that way. Find a friend, get busy volunteering or helping others. Nothing makes you feel better than giving to people, and as you have less time to brood, more people will want to be around you. People who aren't lonely probably don't have any more friends than you, they just don't spend as much time thinking about any lack as you do. The more you do, the less time to sit at home being lonely. Try it!
