no, you have only pledged your house that you will appear in court at the scheduled time and place, however if you don't pay your Attorney he can sue you and out a lien against your house for the amount you owe him, it is hard to beat a crook, as they know the ins and outs of collecting good or bad debts.

Consider the fact that you have bigger problems at the moment than the concern about losing the house.
The bonding company is the one that will take your house if you fail to appear. The lawyer may take your house if you assign it him to cover the fees.

If you foolishly gave the lawyer a lien on your house, he can take it. If your house was only put up for the bond as long as the defendant shows up for trial you cannot lose your house.. The time to ask this question was before you started signing papers.

Only if your lawyer is your bondsman. Your bondsman and your attorney are two different people. Yes, your bondsman CAN take your house.
