Yes, in 10 to 20 years.
Read the following.
------
According to the CIA book of world facts, China has 10% living in poverty while the USA has 12%. But, comparing USA poverty to China would be like trying to compare the Eskimo diet to that of a Saharan wonderer. If you compare China to the USA then it is true, the percentage would be far higher. If you compare China to itself and its accustomed standard of living, then I would agree with the CIA world facts book. Also, in China and the USA both have 1.8% of the people who make up the bottom 10% of income and consumerism while the USA has a lower percentage who make up the top 10%, 30.5% vs 33.1%. Another fact, almost half (45%) of the people in China are farmers vs our .9%. Food is plentiful and cheap here and I see no indication of people going hungry. Even the poorest of the poor can eat for pennies a day. The city I live is surrounded by farms. Chinese farmers, by USA standards are poor, by China standards they are lower middle class. There are some homeless people here, but nowhere near the numbers I see in the states.
----------
20 years ago China was an economic joke, now they are a force to be reckoned with. The CIA web site states the China’s economy is only second to the USA, albeit they lag far behind in many areas, one is standard of living. Extrapolate what China has done in the last 20 years into the next 20 and the conclusion is obvious, this is China’s century, believe it or not.
----------
Warren Buffet and Bill Gates says this Century will be China’s. If you don’t understand that, walk into Wal-Mart, or Macy’s for that matter and look at all the made in China labels. While understanding that China has a labor force of almost 800 million and an under and unemployment problem that will keep wages low for decades. If you think of the USA’s saving grace is their cutting edge of technological development, please understand, nothing stays static. While China currently depends on the west for much of its technological advances, that is just as rapidly disappearing as China becomes better educated and technologically advanced.
-------------
I hope this helps
Signed, an ex pat living in the heart of China.
Peace
Jim

China already has taken over the U.S. economy. Haven't noticed?
All China has to do is cash in, which if it does this then the U.S. economy and China's economy will collapse which will collapse the world economy. There is a chance that China's economy wouldn't completely collapse, but I don't think they want to take that chance even though they have us in the position they have always wanted us in.

Eventually, yeah, it may, however, it's also key to note that China' economy is also very unstable. At the rate of growth that they are growin now, yes, they may outgrow the American economy, but there is a very good chance that China may face a recession greater than anything ever seen before.
I'd be more worried about India first than China though. Their economy is just as strong but much more stable.

Yes. They will pass us in global influence when their military passes ours. This will probably be in 12-15 years. Their economy will most likely pass ours within 14-20 years. This might seem like a ways off but the time will pass quickly.
========
Others say the Chinese currency is based on the dollar. They probably only know that because it has been in the news lately that the Chinese are going to switch off of the dollar in favor of a basket of currencies.

Yes. Economy wise, 15-20 years. Influence wise, 25-30 years. Bush's policies and other factors are fast tracking them to the top of the food chain.

"In all honesty i think of China could are transforming into a shining occasion of submit conflict improve and industry like the US, Japan and South Korea" What makes you think of this? continuously, China replaced into packed with mess ups, warlords, and corrupt officers. it truly is like claiming that if basically Castro hadn't overthrown Batista, Batista could have magically had a metamorphosis of heart which might have grew to become him into an enlightened despot, fairly than in basic terms yet another in a protracted line of strongmen, sequentially overthrowing their predecessor and escaping with the money if fortunate in the previous they have been consequently overthrown. China confirmed greater of a skill Africa than they ever confirmed a skill South Korea or Japan. Japan, by ability of itself, had mustered the industry to bypass toe to toe with the US. Had China ever carried out this? South Korea and Taiwan? many times have benefited from being consumers of the USA of a, which has secure them and helped build their economies, with favourite paying for and advertising status. i've got faith that China could be dealing with the inhabitants problems with India, devoid of the custom of India's unified government. maximum of what's on the instant China could have been carved up into spheres of impression by ability of the large powers and multiple warlords. some states could have prospered, likely the coastal states, others could nevertheless be little hell-pits, with the interior lots a similar banquet or famine ravenous mass as ever. The Nationalists in no way got here on the area of unifying China.

Ah you ask.. but I bet you still shop at Wal-Mart as well.
It will eventually. Since our economy is 2/3 of consumer purchasing well.. we don't make anything anymore. Our corporations are super rich because they ship off jobs and our economy only relies on us buyin **** and going into debt. It's gotta end sometime and the beginning will be when there is no middle class anymore in this country.

NO and No. Their economy is extremely inflexible. We are in decline, but our economy is still much stronger than theirs despite its vast growth right now. They have ALOT of problems and I can't emphasize that enough. Europe will gain economic and global influence before China.

China's economy reflects the US economy. We buy so much from them so if we were to crumble financially they would be dragged down with us.
