omg....when i was reading the first part of your question i knew what the second part was gonna be, because that happens every time! lol they just loose their charm....they're not as pretty as they were when they were next to the waves and sand.

I go to the beach whenever I get a day off that's sunny, and hunt for agates. They're gorgeous! But I have noticed that other rocks I pick up just look so dull when they are dry and makes me wonder. I think I will one day make a little zen water fountain with them since they look so much better when wet. Abalone shells are like that, too.

I've never had that problem. Every beach I went to I brought things back and to this day when I look at them it reminds me of the fun I had and searching for all the things I saw beauty in.

no. I still see love in them.
but dear, I think it was more about the experience of finding the little treasures, and picking them up than it was about having something to take home with you. next time, leave them there, and take the happy memory with you.

yeah all the time. i get all excited about getting these little seashels from the beach but then when i get home i have no idea what to do with them...and most of the ones that i pick i'm all like huh??? this one looks better than that one....is their something wrong with me??? wait i'm talking about ME...what about YOU!!!!??? just kidding. lol.

Oh no, not really, I live close enough to the beach to enjoy it daily, so there is no need to bring home token souvenirs.
