Tracfone is great, but don't get the Motorola c155. You can't save minutes by checking voicemail from a landline, and it won't text to email or receive email text messages.

I have always had good luck with tech support.

Tracfones suck because the cards for minutes are too high - you will pay like 33 cents a minute on it...go to www.uglyeric.com and buy a cheap phone for $17 and you get 100 free minutes then after that its just $10 to get more minutes, not $25 like tracfone, and the service is better its on verizon

I used to have a Tracfone, but their tech support and customer service was soooo bad I switched to TMobil ToGo phone. I have this really cool Nokia camera phone that I think is about $79.00 now but they have much cheaper ones. I think Target has the cheaper ones. It's 10 cents a minute. I am happy with them. Good luck.

You can get a free tracfone if you buy a 1 year or minutes card here:
http://www.tracfonebonuscodes.com
Several models to choose from.
There are also bonus codes for free minutes that make the service cheaper.

Net 10 is the best for your value. It might be slightly higher than $25 but you automatically get 300 free minutes with the phone and it equals out to about 10 cents per minute per call, which isn't bad at all. It is really easy to add more time to your card and it is low cost.

the nokia is decent with enormous battery life.

please get information about tracfone and other pay-as-you-go phone service providers. read reviews, ask friends.

personally, i had problems with activation, returning a phone that did not work and woefully inadequate tech support.

those experiences are mine. you may be luckier.

so: the bottom line is to do your homework before you sign up and give your number out to friends.
