I think this is an interesting subject. I know there was a book written basically providing evidence that the holocaust never happened. I was wondering what others thought about this.

Compliments of author Michael Shermer.....

1) Written Documents: Nazi memos, memoirs, confessions, orders, blueprints, etc.
2) Eyewitness Testimony: Survivors, SS guards, townspeople, higher commanding Nazi officers who did not deny Holocaust events.
3) Photographs: Official photos, press photos, Allied aerial photos, photos taken by prisoners.
4) Physical evidence: Artifacts found at work and death camps, (clothing, documents, etc.)
5)Demographics: All those people who the deniers claim survived the Holocaust are missing.

evidence that a Holocaust took place is undeniable, however it is true that the magnitude of it is questionable.

The six million Jews number, as well as the eight million total number can not be proven. The records are not that accurate

therefore there are people who will point to that and say it never happened.

Bottom line is however that it did and a lack of evidence is not evidence against.

Maybe there were not a total of Eight Million killed, maybe it was "only" seven million, or maybe it was nine millions. I don't see how such a detail makes a difference, it was genocide on a massive scale no matter how you look at it

however these days people think if you do not have exact records it didn't happen, they are foolish and just do not understand how the world works.

I person who denies that the holocaust is a person that is arguing against an well known fact. The person may argue that the sun is the moon etc. Some believe in arguing a point long enough until people start to accept it. other believe that by repeating the same action expecting different results is the definition of stupidity. They are those that claim the American civil war was not about slavery. They are those that say the US government blow up the twin towers, and those that say they were once abroad a space ship and are awaiting to return to the planet Alf. To each their own.

I think anyone who thinks the Holocaust never happened has serious personal and intellectual problems.

When the concentration camps were being liberated, General, later President, Eisenhower had all of his generals, most of his officers, any GI who could, and all press corps tour the camps as they were liberated. His reason: he said, "40 or 50 years from now someone is going to try to say this never happened and I want all of you to be witness to the fact that it did and to tell everyone you know, and to write about it." He then declared martial law in all the towns near the camps and made everyone between the ages of 14 and 80 go to the camps and bury the bodies.

The German government does not deny the Holocaust and is still paying reparations to survivors. Even the East Germans, when under communist control, did not deny the Holocaust.

Why do you think the Nazis that could changed identities and hid out, mostly in South America, although they have been discovered in many countries, including the US?

Wake up, sweet pea, and smell the dead and decomposing bodies, just like the Germans in 1945 had to.

I once ran into such a person. I felt, after talking to them, that the story was too horrible to comprehend; surely, they thought, an industrialized nation could not intend to throw away human life in such a mechanized fashion. For this case, I really found myself listening to what they were saying; they didn't want to deny the Holocaust because they had some gripe with Jewish people - they just couldn't believe, because it WAS too horrible to sink in and absorb.

I found myself pitying them in the end but still had my say, but it was clear that there was nothing I could say; their mind had shut down this aspect of acceptance becasue the truth was too horrible to believe.

However, many who think the Holocaust was a sham have an axe to grind. In these cases, speak the truth but know that there's very little you can do to change their minds (they've already been exposed to the materials and still deny it).

The Jews did not suffer in Germany because there was no Holocaust. Actually it was the Jews that was torturing the poor blond haired deprived Germans. Those tattoos on the Jews arms and hands that are still alive today (by the grace of God) are really there because they want to be hip.

OTHER CONSPIRACIES TO THINK ABOUT:

1. We knew the Japanese were going to bomb Pearl Harbor before they did. I mean come-on President Roosevelt liked the thought of our boys baking inside the Battle Ship Arizona before they died. The President was looking for a better way to get a good nights sleep.

2. America did not land on the Moon. We payed billions of dollars for the 360 foot Saturn 5 rocket so we could look at it and say wow that is a big rocket. We kept approx. 400,000 technicians, scientists and construction contractors quiet, with zero leaks to the public. The rocks that we thought that came from moon and have proved to be from the moon are really from the Pacific Ocean.

3. The Mafia whacked JFK, via the Russian connection, via the Cuban connection.... The man on the grassy knoll was a CIA agent acting on orders from Giancana from Chicago and Marcello from New Orleans, with duplicity from Castro and Kruschev....true story.

4. Aliens landed in Roswell and we transported them to Area 51 to back engineer their technology, where do you think the stealth air craft came from? Again, we kept it secret by brain washing the thousands of workers who were in on the scam.

5. The Moon we see every night is really not there along with the planets, stars as well as the Planet Killing Asteroids. Those were put there by the evil United States to toy with our minds.

6. The fossils of homo eructus, neandertals and 15 other hominids that are extinct were put there by paleotologists, archeologists, and assorted rock hounds to enhance their careers. Creationism is the only reality.

7. America is a conspiracy and is a fake country and none of us Americans really live here.

8. I was never born so this response to your question is a fake.

i'm previous disbelief, having seen the outcomes on the tip of WWII the place the British military entered Belsen and located the info all over the concentration camp, to boot which the survivors testified of their thousand of who and what that they had seen do what and to whom for the time of their internment. I had a sturdy chum who became between the 1st to flow into Belsen to launch it. He became an extremely frustrating guy, however the reminiscence of what he witnessed together with his very own eyes, ears, and nostril, haunted him for something of his long existence. If all of us a lot as stated Belsen, Auschwitz, Buchenwald, or different of the Nazi extermination camps, he might burst into impassioned sobs because of the fact the attractions, sounds, and scents of his first-hand studies with the end results of the Holocaust. to not have self belief the Holocaust surpassed off in the face of mountains of info and memories is to refuse to admit that the solar is shining while it somewhat is burning one's face. it somewhat is, I advise, a confident sign of psychological incompetence to have self belief that what such quite a number of human beings observed and suffered with the aid of did not happen. Take him/her to one of the Holocaust Museums connected to one of the 'camps'...
There are also those who still live,[though not many].
Have the person tour the camps still left for posterity.
Don't believe everything you read....there is plenty of rhetorical writings with authors who 'match' little pieces of 'evidence' to fit their personal agendas.

Read eye witness accounts of people who liberated the accounts. Read the Nuremberg Trials. Read Primo Levi.Ask them where they get their information from.
