yo break a promise to a friend who really counted on you but you didnt know it was the same date as something you had to do wiht your family and they say its ok but deep down you know there past and you know they've been let down and you feel so guilty??

usually when that happens tto me and i feel really guilty and keep appologizin. then i usually do something with them to show that im there for them even though i accidently let them down

Family takes precedence over friends every time. And yeah I I know there are family members you had rather get hit by a freight train than go see I feel the same way, but they are family and like the old saying goes blood is thicker than water. So in those cases you are just going to have to suck it up, Your friend should understand that family comes first. the only person or thing that comes before family is God.
Always remember this.

1st: God
2nd Family
3rd Country
4th friends

If you really had to do this thing with your family, then that's just the way it had to be. The only thing I can think of is make it up to your friend.

just make up a day a good day and ask her what the best day would be and then try to give her a great day make it up to her and as she is having a great time you can tell her your sorry

well tell her that it was something to do with your family and u couldnt cancel it
and take her 2 tha mall and buy her sumthin or just do sumthin nice for her!!

make it up to her, take a day for just the two of you and just have fun, if she dosn't forgive and forget thats her fault.
