It sucks up positive energy to see one thing after another go down the tubes since Bush was 'sort of' elected. It's just sad to see people get meaner and meaner. And now Supreme Court is allowing companies to get together and fix prices, and has made a decision that could conceivably allow segregation again. I'm tired of people being in power who haven't learned much from history and who don't really care much about the integrity of humans.

Both of my kids' laptops have ticking time counters showing how many days, hours, minutes until our national disgrace-W leaves office.

The answers so far show you are one of the sanest people on the board. The Bush/ Cheney cabal is the most belligerent, arrogant, deceitful, incompetent and criminal extreme Right Wing administration that has ever ruled America.

Their only interest is helping the Corporations Profit while they pollute the environment, exploit labor and resources through trade pacts, outsource American jobs, expropriate the commons, pillage after wars and disasters, and defraud the people's government of taxes through loopholes, subsidies and offshoring their headquarters; and giving the wealthiest 1% the majority of all the Investment Tax cuts this decade.

The Supreme Court did not give the Election to Bush, after a 7 - 2 ruling with even 2 Liberal Judges agreeing with the 3 Conservative and 2 Swing voters, Al Gore decided to concede (forfeit) Florida to Bush.

By the way, Al Gore actually beat President Bush in several states by the same number of votes where Bush beat Gore in Florida (gee how come those states weren't recounted, oh I know, because Bush accepted the fact that Gore did win those states, and he would have conceded Florida to Gore had the recount said Gore).

Liberal and Conservative news sources all did their own investigations to see who really did win Florida afterall and even the Liberal sources admitted that Bush would have won Florida even under methods suggested by the Liberal side.

Hey by the way, if you don't like the fact that Bush won in 2000, and 2004 and it's gonna really make you cry all day long, I got a good idea, why don't you go live in North Korea for awhile, over there you are required to love Kim Jong-Il and worship him.

In this Country even Bush himself respects your right to dislike him, heck Bush even let people who bashed him pay a visit to The White House (P. Diddy and Elton John).

Think about the rights you do have in this Country.

Bush was good until he helped push us into Iraq. Remember, he did a good job of rallying this nation after 9/11.

As for the ruling about segregation,
Notice how a black Justice voted for it.

This ruling makes perfect sense. There is no such thing as racial diversity. Even if you do get African-Americans to come to your school, they all hang out with each other. Now trust me, I went out of my way to befriend them but at the end of the day they would still rather hang out with black kids and always did. Even minority students already going to a majority white school often transfer out to be with their own race. Thats just how it is, and I'm sure the suits in their high oligarch chairs like to see many races going into a school, but at the end of the day its a lie.

I've been grieving for the country since Reagan left office. George I brought a few bright spots, then the dark days of slickwillie and the Arkansas Mafia came to pass. For 8 years, I flew the flag upsidedown as a sign of distress.

George II started good, and performed superbly in the weeks following 9-11-01, but he wasted the good will and has gotten us bogged down in two long military committments.

Now we face the possibility of four more years of clintonistas. I don't think the country will survive that damned clinton woman in the White House.

The American people forget to quickly why it is that we are in this war.. why we have sent our men and women over to Iraq to shed their blood.. and we as a nation have done that over and over again over many wars. I support the President although I might not agree ever aspect of the war... we are at war to protect our nation from further attacks.. and the people who think that this war is doing nothing should think about how may other attacks might have happened had we not gone to war and beefed up security here in the USA.
If we pull out the nation will blame the President BUT the real blam should be on those who want to quit before the job is done.
It will be up to the American people to use their voice to place the blam where it should be.. but ultimatly it is not about blam but about protecting this great nations and it's people.

We need to finish the job... and then bring our soldiers home... BTW my son is a Marine and I want nothing more to have him home but his job is to serve and protect and at this time he, his platoon, commanding officers and our President say that is Iraq and I support that.

You really should seek mental health care. Your view of reality is way off base. Life is good. Your life is better than 95% of all people on earth. If you're sad I feel bad for you. You dont have to suffer like this. Go to the doctor.

Your letting life slip by. Many things will happen which you yourself cannot prevent. There will be a time to mourn, a time to fight, and yes...a time to pray. I believe in all my heart in this. Right now is the time to enjoy life.
