I am curious about the Ouija Board and the paranormal. I decided to give a try but before I do that, I need to clear up some things.

1. What are the dangers of the board?
2. What questions should I NOT ask?
3. What should I NOT do at the start, middle, and end of the session?
4. Are the spirits more friendly or evil?
5.What manners should I display at the start, middle, and end of the session?
6. Is it best to do the session alone or with a friend?
7. At what time is it best to do the session?
8. What setting should I create in the room? Can I allow a bible?
9. What is the best way to destroy the the board?
10. If possible please explain an encounter that you or your friend has during the Ouija Board.

Thanks!

You should keep in mind that by using a ouija board, you are opening a door to another realm that you can't control. It is like opening the door to your house. Most of the people who come up and take a peek inside are probably not serial killers, but you never know. Once they're in, you can't get them out easily and they can pose a real danger to you. I would strongly advise you not to do it. You are taking a big risk, and there isn't really any benefit in it. If you insist on using it, at least don't use it in your home, because the spirits may attach to you or your home. Also, ask God for protection from evil spirits before starting, though it is my belief that God doesn't want you dabbling in that anyway. Keep in mind, that there are tricksters on the other side who will lie to you, so they are not to be trusted, generally.

One story that I know about the ouija board goes like this: There was a man who was drunk at a party and grew belligerent because people were playing with the board. The guy was annoyed and thought everyone was stupid for getting into it. So he started screaming and cussing at the board and said, "OK ouija, if you know so much, tell me, when am I going to die?" It typed back, "This night." The guy got mad and left the party and walked home. He was killed by a car coming around a hill along his path.

In short, there is danger to you and your family with no real benefit to you, so please leave it alone. ---Peace

The only power it has is the power of suggestion. The only thing dangerous about the Ouija Board are the morons who think it's real.

There are real dangers in using the Ouija board. Some spirits that communicate can be more evil than good and if you do not know how to control the situation you can get possessed. To destroy the board one can burn it. It is better to do a session with friends. Do not ask questions that might aggravate them. Also do not let the glass break. If you do so there is big trouble. I believe in the paranormal however I stay far way from this board. Good Luck

Look...If you want, listen to the people who will tell you it's just a harmless game. it can be, just so long as that's what you believe it to be. Un-belief can be a great defense against the paranormal. It can also be a very dangerous one, since, if your not-believing slips even just a little bit, your defense goes away, and then where are you?

These kinds of spirit things (Ouija, auto-writing) can be dangerous to people if they don't know how to defend themselves, remember, "if you call, something will answer, what it *is* isn't important, something will answer".

It really doesn't matter if it's a "real" spirit, just a figment of your imagination, chunk of your subconscious, or even a "demon". You are giving it power, and letting it have control. If you don't know how to keep *you* in control, it's a situation that could get out of hand real fast. That's when the "I don't believe it crowd" usually starts believing, and then their fragile defense goes out the window.

The best way to look at it is this, if you need to ask these kinds of questions about using the board, then you probably aren't ready to deal with things if they go wrong. Not everytime one of these things are used does something get contacted, or things even begin to heat up, it's when something really responds that things can get out of hand, and then you really need to know what to do, and the confidence to make it work.

Defend your mind, it's the only thing you've got...

I am sure you don't want to hear this, but do not mess with that. There are no right or wrong questions. You can bring up something you cannot deal with. My kids once played with one and saw something evil. I thought it was just their imaginations. Years later we moved into a very old house built in 1904. Weird things started to happen. We thought the kids were silly. Then we started to hear and see weird things. I have NEVER EVER believed in that crap. We called a famous ghost hunter that has been on Discover Channel. He came in with his people. IT was soooo interesting. There were orbs and all kinds of things. Anyway, I asked him about the Ouija Board and he told us. "Do not ever ever touch one, it is not a game. It is very dangerous and once you open that up you cannot reverse it." I don't know if it is true, but I won't take that chance.

I'd also stay away from it...My friends and I did it regularly for a while and were convinced that a ghost named "Ed" lived among us. And that's who we'd frequently try to communicate with. Well knowing a friend of mine's Aunt is seriously devoted to the Ouija Board, and has had many experiences to share, I called him up asking him to call his Aunt for suggestions in furthering our friendship with the ghost named Ed. We then would set up fruit as a "gift" to Ed during our sessions....and one night, when we were all holding hands among the circle, and closing our eyes, we all felt a chill that quickly caused us to get up....And then one of my friends screamed, pointing at one of the apples we had laid out. It had a bite taken out of it. Way too close for comfort for me. Also, my friend's Aunt ended up calling me pleading that we no longer try to communicate with the spirits.

DONT DO IT!!!!!!!!!! Honestly don't even think of attempting to make one or even buy one,if you know where to get them from. My mom and her friends tried one years ago. The next day,one of my moms friends was found in a ditch, gibbering and talking a load of nonsense! She was a nervous wreck and never recovered from it. My moms hair turned white from the experience! So PLEASE don't even do it.
