They're a little lower than you'd find in the malls. I let a friend talk me into driving up from San Antonio after Christmas but I wasn't terribly impressed. Won't be going back.

I love the outlets at San Marcos! The prices actually have a noticeable difference. I remember finding stuff at the Donna Karan store for half the price of the regular store. I'm sure it depends on the store on the level of discount, but I think the variety of stores and the prices are great.

I went a couple years ago while on a business trip to Austin. As with any outlets, watch the prices. You can get some amazing deals, but some items are more than what you would pay at department stores when they are having a sale.

I say it is worth the drive for the chance to find a great bargain!
