My car was in a garage for 16 years, I clean the windows but a film keeps reappearing on the inside. I have scrubbed them good but it keeps coming back. It looks like a smoke haze. Any suggestions?

The film on the inside of your windows is caused by Plasticizers in the interior of your car. When you leave your car closed up in the heat ,the vinyl interior "sweats" this element adheres to the glass . I dont know of anything except constant cleaning that will keep it off'. The age of your car almost eliminates a clogged cabin filter problem. A good vinyl dressing like armour all can reduce but not eliminate this problem.

If you are using the car now, it is possible that it could be a small leak in the heater core. I had the same problem some years ago and that was what it was. Are you losing any coolant at all?

Have you ever seen the movie Christine about the old haunted car? I'm thinking maybe your car is possessed. I guess that's better then repossessed! :-D

quit smoking. one thing I do is to leave the defrosters on low to blow smoke and dust away from the interior of the windshield.
Another thing you could try is the bathroom cleaner "scrubing bubbles" by dow.
