i have heard of vishnu and bmw has its own what are other good companies that do a good job on tuning bmw's. if it matter i live in so cal.

I don't know how anyone would rate "best tuner", and I've never heard of "vishnu" other than it's a name of an indian dude.

Dinan is the ONLY tuner that is backed by BMW's warranty. All Dinan work is done by BMW dealerships and it is all covered under warranty and does NOT void the factory BMW warranty that comes with new cars. Dinan is very expensive though and there are alot of tuners out there that are just as good. AC Schnitzer, Alpina and Hamann are some of my favorites.

the best bmw tuner, as far as n/a and f/i is active autowerks. they are based out of miami, Florida and have been known to have created some of the best tuning software in the industry for bmw's

I would say Dinan for suspension. Tune your suspension first, "Power is nothing without control."

After you have your suspension setup, then move into the engine. If you are looking for natural aspiration, there are a lot of companies that can help you with that. If you tune the engine you can call AA ( http://www.activeautowerke.com/ ) and have them custom program software for your mods so that they will work to their full potential.

For forced induction I would look at ICS Performance and AA. ( http://www.icsperformance.com/ ). They have some beastly cars from ICS.
