Have your friend call a farrier and get him to trim the horse's feet on a regular schedule. If she won't do this, or says she can't afford to, then she has no business owning or keeping a horse!!! In that case, I would report her to the authorities for animal neglect. You will be doing her poor horse a favor. Please, don't wait until the hooves turn up to do this- the horse already sounds like he's in pain, or at the very least, is in serious trouble, and he really needs to have this done soon if you want to avoid even more serious problems. Good luck.

You need to call a blacksmith or farrier to trim the horses feet . If you wait to long it can destroy the bones in the horses legs . You better hurry it sounds like its pretty serious

Ummm, if you have a horse you have to have a farrier that will come out periodically to trim its feet. How can you not know that??!!
