It can take several months for your fertility to return to normal after getting Depo AND after giving birth. Breastfeeding can prevent ovulation as well, so if you are breastfeeding the baby, that could be a cause too. Also, sometimes it just takes a while to get pregnant. You may just need a few more months of trying.

I'm surprised you chose the Depo shot if you wanted to get pregnant this soon. Taking Depo can cause you to be irregular for months (sometimes years) before getting back on track. Most women choose it for long term.
Having been pregnant last year could be a factor, but more than likely it's the Depo shot. All you can do is keep trying. What you're experiencing is totally common for women who've been on that method of birth control.
Good luck.

I was on the Depo shot for six years (2000-2006). I received my last dose at the end of April 06, and that dose lasted until the end of July 06. After that, I started on the birth control pills, and I only took those for 3 days in August 06. My fiance' and I then started trying to conceive, in which it finally happened. We are now expecting our first baby, it's a boy, on July 9th. I guess it also depends on your body, I have heard it can take 6 months to 1 year for the Depo to be out of your system. On the other hand, my friend's cousin was on the Depo for six years also, and her doctor told her she isn't able to conceive at all. I hope this helps, keep on trying, and GOOD LUCK to you and your husband.

I was on it for almost 3 years, and I was due for a shot in April, but I stopped taking them. I finally got my periods back this month, and I have reason to believe that I had a miscarriage two weeks ago. There's not much telling how long it will take you to get pregnant, but with one dose, it shouldn't be very long. Maybe up to 6 months.

do you imply a million week after the final shot? NO. do you imply a million week after the final due date which you neglected? confident. the scale of time of not getting pregnant varies for each guy or woman. yet ON accepted.... as quickly as you supply up any style of birth control, it could soak as much as a year to be waiting to get pregnant or greater. notwithstanding, you will nonetheless be lined for the traditional 3 months after your final depo shot. then you will commence ovulating returned quickly after that generally.

Depends on the amount you had. You need to ask your doctor who administered the shot. Some last from 6 months to a year.

It can take up to a year and I was told to go off it 12 months before trying, and use birth control pills until the month before.
