To Purchase ? Or for advice and guidance ?

The "Skill Level" system originated with Monogram models in the 1980s (and Snap-Tite models), and now belongs to Revell :http://www.revell.com/What-s-My-Skill-Leve.what_s_my_skill_level.0.html

I've been been building models for the last 30+ years, and have found FineScale Modeling Magazine to be my BEST source for information... you can find it online at: http://www.finescale.com/fsm/

This site will also have links to some of the manufacturers and groups.

Good Luck.
