it seems like a bunch of fooey to me - how much does the PCGS set registry matter.

Like if you put together the finest set of large cents and NCG certified the coins then it would'n't count? like it's crazy.

what do yall think.
THANKS

Some people have more money than brains. It is a snob thing. Actually to have the best large cent collection is a real challenge, but to have the best Kennedy half or Franklin set does not mean much to me anyway. Most large cent collectors go after varieties anyway and don't have anything to do with PCGS, for they don't like their grading. The only reason the grading companies exist, is due to investors who don't know how to grade nor care to learn. Now collectors are getting lazy and don't want to learn how to grade either. One thing, most ancient, medieval and world coin collector do not like slabbed coins. I could go on and on here, but it is my opinion. Email me if you wish to further discuss the situation. Remember there is a difference between a collector, investor and a numismatist, they don't all have the same goals or knowledge.
