Consistency is not thier strong point. Just look at recent times.
Clinton was a bad president because he did not just do whatever Newt wanted - but Bush is allowed to ignore the will of both the people and congress and veto everything because he is the decider.
When Clinton doesn't send troops to Rwanda to prevent genocide he is uncaring, when he does send troops to prevent genocide in Yugoslavia he is acting with no moral authority, and when Bush sends troops to illegally invade a sovereign nation we have to support the president in times of war.
They wail about abortion but take pride in a health system that has the highest rate of miscarriages and child mortality in the developed world.
When Clinton lies about his sex life during an investigation into a property deal he is a disgrace, when Scooter deliberately lies to impede an ongoing investigation he is a patriot.
When the New York Times and CNN both endorse Bush for president they are part of the "liberal media" but Fox News demonstrates it is fair and balanced by labelling all liberals as mentally diseased and traitors.
Do you see the trend?

As a Libertarian...I spend a lot of time beating on Liberals and Conservatives. I get blocked and hate mail from both sides. Political banter should be taken in a degree of fun and people should thicken their skin up on both sides.

The question could be asked in reverse. Why do liberals complain about conservatives obstructing their initiatives, when they do the same? Both sides complain about each other. That's politics as it's been played for generations.

It might be that the specific ones complaining aren't the same ones that are blocking...

You can find one of these on almost every street corner of the United States, a Starbucks, a fast-food joint or a hypocrite.
