I'm looking at the 20" Widescreen or 19" Regular LCD that look like a square.

What is best of my eyes and viewing pleasure? I spend 6 hours a dayh on the computer mostly watching movies and browsing the web.

If you spend time watching movies then the widescreen. The full frame monitor will have big black bands above and below most movies, the widescreen is a much closer fit to a wide aspect ratio movie.

The two have about the same glass area. but the widescreen is going to be shorter.

Web pages tend to work better on taller narrower screens, as a lot of the content is width limited. But you can just scroll down.

Go Widescreen, trust me. I have only a 17" widescreen and it looks bigger than my friends 20" regular. The widescreen looks bigger just from being wide.

I recently went to the widescreen LCD, and I'll never go back. Get the widescreen, as big as you can afford!

definatelly go for the 20" widescreen! (I have a 17" widescreen, and its awesome!) sooo much better than a square monitor.

go for the bigger widescreen. It's better all around- bigger for applications and such, and better for watching movies too. overall, it can fit more information on it.
