one day i was real depressed because my son drowned. it was a very hard point of my life. i didn't want to go on. it rained that week. i just sat at his grave crying. asking God for a sign to let me know he's okay in heaven. and i looked up at the sky and saw a bright beautiful rainbow. I knew he'd be alright.

The most beautiful thing I have ever seen (besides my newborn babies) was when I lived in a valley between mountain ranges. We had a long field between our house and the mountain and it was around twilight time. There was a storm on the other side of the mountain and it had stopped basically at the top ridge. I could see the yellow lightening (like fire) mixed with the purple sky making it look frightening and beautiful at the same time - absolutely divine. To add to this scene the entire field was sparkling with fire-fly's....absolutely beautiful.

The sun setting over the Grand Canal in Venice;it's rays bouncing off the cupola of the Basilica and the sky turning from, blue to orange to a misty pink , It was not of this world, and in fact, it was so beautiful that it has remained in my memory bank for over 40 years. Just as vivid as if I saw it yesterday.

When I held my 2 hour-old niece, perfectly a pain in the a.s.s and such a darling. I have never seen a more perfect specimen of beauty, blond, blue eyes, all ten fingers, ten toes, and a nose that turned up perfectly.

Too bad they have to grow up and become such pains where they think the world owes them something..
