Talk about pandering to an audience.

And who exactly is dividing this country?

Black voters are a large and critical part of the Democratic primary electorate, making the debate a must-attend for candidates seeking the party's presidential nomination. Civil rights activist Al Sharpton and Princeton University scholar Cornel West were among those in the audience.

Segregation was not the only issue. In turn, the candidates discussed their hopes to stem poverty, improve the economy and end the war in Iraq.

"This issue of poverty is the cause of my life," said John Edwards, the 2004 vice presidential nominee.

Said Obama: "It starts with birth."

A half century of desegregation law — and racial tension — was laid bare for the Democrats hours before they met. In a 5-4 decision, the Supreme Court clamped historic new limits on school desegregation plans.

Just wondering how many GOP hands it takes your move your mouth and write this garbage you post on yahoo? You are a great puppet and all. Just wondering if you realize that you come across like one of those mindless idiots you hear on Rush with the dittos and democrat conspiracies.

You use yahoo as a pulped you even have a original thought? Does the GOP pay you to post this garbage. I am a moderate and you just want to make me puke with all of your GOP garbage.

Do you have nothing else to say except that you
'' DO NOT THINK FOR YOURSELF'?

No political party is perfect, but for anyone to turn a blind eye with the pure PR spins on here is just ridiculous!

You state since we have been in Iraq the terrorist have not come to America.

Duh!

Why would they need to?

They are killing our troops EVERDAY in Iraq!

Let me ask you some questions?

How are you going to feel when Iraq crumbles into a civil war once we pull out? Will still think it was all worth it?

How will you feel when Iran take's over Iraq and become the biggest terrorist state in the world?

News Flash!

We are not winning in Afghanistan!

We are not wining in Iraq-They figured out the best way to kill our troops and now they know the support here is crumbling for the war.

Would you support the war and the GOP this much if your son come home in a body bag?

Can you honestly look back at the last 7 plus years and really feel this country is headed in the right direction?

North Korea is still out there

Iran is still out there

Syria is still out there

Al Qaeda is still out there

The points you make out political options and you do not ask questions you make GOP statements.

Why are you here?

You are not seeking answers. You seeking followers such as yourself willing to follow the GOP to the burring end. Wake up!

The Republican Party is becoming as chic as a 8 Track Tape player. a Dust Vac and a portable phone the size of a Back Pack. What is the point?

Things you DON'T need.

You should support candidates that make sense have a plan. I do never voted by one party only. I went for the best candidate.

I could never support the current GOP. They are out of touch with America and they are out of touch with the world.

Bush will have no legacy and he wasted his time in office.

Give it up. No one voted Republican in the Congressional elections and I have a bridge I would love to sell you if you really believe that ANY GOP candidate has any chance at the White House.

Why?

Because 70% of Americans want the war to end.

You should reach deep inside and ask yourself do you really believe all of the GOP agenda items?

I find it odd that those with so much claim to care about the poor. If Edwards was so concerned He could have done more for the poor in his area but chose to build his castle and ignore the people around him. The Kennedy clan has claimed to be a champion of the poor for generations but they lock themselves away in restricted areas and hide behind pre established charities to maintain the image of caring. When was the last time any of the party leaders even talked to a poor person?? As for the race card the Republicans seem to be gaining more minority votes and that may be behind the need for the democrats to ge more illegals on the voting rolls.

Call it playing the race card if you will, but the fact is that we still have a lot of racial tension in this country. Not talking about it is like ignoring the elephant in the room.

If the Democrats really wanted to eliminate race as an issue in our society, they would immediate introduce legislation preventing the government from asking questions pertaining to race in any form. Furthermore, they would quit referring to individuals as ___ - Americans, but would instead call everyone Americans!

It's always to early for anybody to use the race card. If race is even a factor than it proves that America has a long way to go before everybody's equal.

Is this a question or a statement?

-----
While the first two debates focused on their narrow differences on Iraq, moderator Tavis Smiley promised to steer the candidates to other issues that matter to black America, including health care, education, criminal justice, police accountability, housing and voting rights.

Are you playing a race card for answering questions that a moderator asks at a debate?

Why not? The Republicans always pull the religion card.
Both parties have to have some trump card in their pocket!

No. When you have so few cards in your deck you have to be ready to play them at any time. You DID know that the Dems aren't playing with a full deck, didn't you?
