This is so weird, my mower just has a slow and fast on the throttle but is working opposite. When I put it on fast it slows down and when I put it on slow it speeds up. It doesn't seem to rev as high as it used to either.

All new plug and filter and oil change has been done.

The first thing I would check, is be certain the cable is properly connected to the linkages and fastened well to the handle. Lube the inner cable, and check for proper movement. Make sure the choke works freely and is in the proper position.

When you changed the plug and oil did you disconnect the throttle cable? Sounds like you have it hooked up wrong on the carburator. Without more information it is hard to tell.

sounds like it is not getting enough gas, try adjusting the high speed adjustment screw
