Which one of those do you like more? Renicansce fairs are fun and full of charm, but I like C.W.R.'s better. The smell of black powder combined with southern barbeque is irrestibale! Also, after the battle I like to go out and look for powder cartridges that the clumsy soldiers droped! Plus, while they are both overpriced as far as mercantile goes, reanactments alaways sell cool stuff, while the fairs mostly sell rugs, with only a few cool shops. But that's just my opinion, which do you like better?

I like Civil War reenactments more. Do their historical value to me and the nation. The multiple reasons why the Civil War took place in the first place.
This may also be do to the fact, I am a black powder shooter myself. Which I enjoy immensely! Understand what C.W.R.'s mean to others. The food is also better. As well as the memorabilia. However, I do go to both. Do to the fact my wife prefers Renaissance fairs more.

I prefer ren faires, but nothing wrong with the other either.. both are fun.. The ren faires i've gone to (and worked) have been more.. *Fun*.. Fools, Jesters, humorous sword fights.. not to mention the belly dancers.. but, when I'm in the mood for something a bit more.. real.. the civil war stuff is better.. (although actually up here you are more likely to find things from the revolutionary war or the French/Indian skirmishes.. )

Never been to either. I think if I was to go to one, it would be a Renaissance Fair tho. Don't really know why, it just sounds a little more my taste.
