I have an opportunity to pick up Brett Favre in my fantasy league, but I have V.Y. and Big Ben already. Obviously I am keeping VY, but should I drop Big Ben in favor of Favre? Let me know.

Look at their stats the last three years:
Favre: 1760 att, 1061 comp, 11854 yds, 68 TD, 66 INT, 22 fumble, 13 lost
Big Ben: 1032 att, 644 comp, 8519 yds, 52 TD, 43 INT, 9 fumble, 2 lost

And their fantasy points over the same span (with Yahoo default and partial points):
Favre: 487.08
Roethlisberger: 432.38

They are a lot closer then stats look. Favre throws a lot of INT's and fumbles a lot, which really hurts him. I would still take Favre though. Roethlisberger misses a lot of games (6 in the last 3 years). Favre also has a better chance of a big game since he is at least in a pass first offense.

I would always pick Big Ben over Favre in a real team just because brett is old. But fantasy wise Brett is much better than Ben. Big Ben is not a very good fantasy player. So take Favre

I would drop Big Ben for Favre. Favre has Donald Driver, Bubba Franks, and Greg Jennings to throw to. Also, Marshawn Lynch will get a lot of receiving yards out of the backfield. Like a mini-Reggie Bush.

Big Ben probably won't do much with Hines Ward being his main and almost only receiving threat...

Stick with ben, farve will have a horrible season just like last, now that cowher has left pittsburgh and tomlin has taken over and opened up bens options, look for him to have a huge year. I dont mean Paytom Manning huge but huge none the less. Also Pittsburgh has much better recievers, Hines Ward, Santonio Holmes, Heath Miller, and Nate Washington in the red zone. Farve and his recievers are used up.

I would remember Big Ben is not a great "fantasy" qb. Favre's best years are behind him but he is still pretty darn good.
