I had $11,000 saved up but since I blew it all on a car, not only could I not have had $1,000 for tools, repairs, and preventative maintenace, and not only could I have not had $6,000 saved up if I would've spend $3,000 on a car,

BUT LOOK AT 14 THINGS I MISSED OUT ON!

($1,000)
1) Beer
2) All sorts of stuff off EBAY, whether it just be for fun, decoration, or even kinky or sexual.
3) Lap dances at strip clubs
4) Call girls
5) Movies
6) Music CDs
7) A nice stereo system.
8) Add-ons to the car such as neon lighting, lit up fuzz dice, seat covers, steering wheel cover, etc.
9) An expensive dinner at Red Lobster
10) Parties
11) Dating sites to meet with more girls (those sites cost around $30 to $40 a month)
12) Clothes
13) Auto Repair Manual
14) And other nice things

If you're gonna honstley tell me you think I made a good move by getting a 3-year old car with 24K miles instead, then I think you're totally wrong because look at all the fun stuff I missed on.

I'd have skipped the Red Lobster dinner and the call girls . . . unless you're taking the call girls to dinner at Red Lobster!
But seriously, you're still only 27 or 28, so I hope you've still got lots of life to have fun in.
. . . and do well.
. . . and do good.
Hopefully you've made a little more money in the ensuing years and will continue to.
Best wishes.

Here's what you missed out on:
STDs
hangovers
damage to your ears from loud music on a stereo
DUIs
Trouble
Throwing your money away on online dating services when you can meet the same kind of girls for nothing
Get a grip. You can only spend it once. Save some more and enjoy it...or be ready to repair the car you bought or replace the tires!

I don't see why you can't enjoy all those things, if you aren't already, starting RIGHT NOW!
You are young, dude. Live life to the fullest and stop worrying about yesterday.
Oh I almost forgot: Stay away from drugs and watch out for diseases.

That is a very interesting prospective. This is the first time I've heard someone do something good, sensible, and mature, and thinks he messed up.
