Okinawa... I heard a key try to open the door... nothing happens. kissed my girlfriend goodbye. I open my car door (steering wheel right side) I felt a presence like never before or since. I saw 3 japanese guys walking towards me, my insanity, my future passing before me. They actually open a scroll and asked me, are you Baileysan etc. Then asked for my Penthouse Key( livin' way too large) then I pulled out of my pocket a nickel bag of pot... damn near died! Spent 23 days in Futema (Kewl name for a town and a prison) gotta way with being banned... from reinlisting in the Army and never coming back to Japan! Before I could leave a Typhoon level 3 hit..We smoked Budda and laughed at the whole nightmare.. then I came back to the U.S. only to find Culture Shock and a Lifetime of never.... finding the "Shadow of a Doubt" ever again! Crystal clear reasoning, absolutely pure logic, and a precisely defined meaning. Then, suddenly, the shadow obscures our reasoning again; obscures our view by a lack of focus. We will search in vain for that one clearly defined moment, where we were young and understood our part in life, so sure of ourselves, so confident in our righteousness.
