why does everyone hate emos?

im not emo, but i like their style...everyone seems to get annoyed at them..i dont see why..

i repeat..im not emo-not even close.

i'm not emo...but i don't know about everyone else...but in my school...they just take it too far. there was a boy wearing a black leather mini skirt and i knew he was already emo. I swear...even i probably wouldn't wear such a mini skirt. i don't know...i guess they're too expressive and too depressing. they should live life to the fullest and not be too depressed. i'm not trying to put them down...i have friends that are emo. you shouldn't label yourself first of all...just be yourself and stay cool.

Mostly because emos are young and inexperienced and have no idea what true grief, heartache and loss is. Losing a spouse,losing a job, losing a child, losing your parents, losing everything you worked for or owned... that's real emotion, and you don't see grown adults sitting around moping and whining and thinking the whole world s**ks. You pick up and you go on, and you get annoyed with punks that want to kill themselves because their boyfriend didn't look at them at lunchtime today.

They are not good role models to young, very "mouldable" minds. Their output on life is miserable, they cut their wrists, are suicidal and emit a kind of dark energy that no 12 year old should be exposed to, miss.

I am sorry with all the bad things happening in the world- wars and disasters, global warming and other atrocities, we do not need a bunch of sad kids running around ruining our mood- be it the tiniest glimmer happiness in a teaspoon. Hah.

Because not all, but many, are very FAKE. They are not genuine in their music, and many "emos" that are not in bands just like to get attention. MANY not all. To me, the early emos were definitely more aware of what they were doing.

Alright, are you ready for this? It's because they are the ultimate hypocritical persona's. While they act like they are loners who don't care how society views them while they are actually obsessed with their image of being popular and "dark" so they can attract more friends like themselves. They are judgmental and consider anybody who doesn't buy into their lifestyle and are quick to point out flaws in others while they themselves are buying into a mass trend. They believe since they live this way they have special rights and people should like them better because of it. Or at least that's what people that don't like them think.

I don't know, I don't see what the big deal is either way. As long as someone pretty much leaves me alone I don't really care what they are into, as long as they are still decent to me. Basically, the more popular something becomes the more hated it also becomes by those that don't like it. Its usually loved or hated, not much on the fence! Kind of weird.
