Yes, it is completely unbiased. You can tell that from the frothing at the mouth responses you get from right-wingers whenever the BBC is mentioned! Right-wing capitalists control 95% of the world's media and it just drives them nuts that their coverage is shown up by the BBC time and again.

There is no such thing as a completely unbiased news outlet of any kind. It isn't possible.
The BBC generally does a good job, and I listen to it when it's on here in the U.S. late at night, but they're not completely unbiased.
NPR also does a good job, but likewise, they're not completely objective or neutral.

I am a Brit who has lived in the States for 15 years. If it was not for the BBC I would know so much less of what is going on in the UK and the world.
The media here drives me round the bend (sorry America) but it is so insular.

Well it is probably one of the least biased but the Bolshevik Broadcasting Corporation (BBC) does seem to take a left of centre position on most issues. If you are left inclined you may think this is fine; if your not ....

BBC can truly lay claim to be the world's global news network.
What other broadcaster is committed to regular coverage of African hotspots such as Burundi or Central African Republic? Because BBC doesn't depend solely on advertising revenue for its survival it has the luxury of being able to cover stories about humanity for humanity's sake, a distinction that no other network can claim.
CNN and Fox and Al Jazeera, the other global pretenders, focus mainly on a few big stories in a few countries, while the Mighty Beeb broadcasts in 33 languages, has more than 26,000 employees in the United Kingdom alone and many, thousands of full-time and part-time correspondents in nearly every country on earth.
Among them is Alan Johnston, a superbly brave and dedicated reporter who has spent more than 100 days in the custody of abductors in the Middle East. BBC World Service begins each news broadcast by saying "Alan Johnston has spent XX days in custody."
Below is the link to a speech given by Mr. Johnston prior to his capture. May he soon be freed to continue to share his wisdom and give voice to the voiceless.

*Cough* HUTTON INQUIRY! *Cough*
No provider can be completely unbiased in news - it is impossible. One side will always be conveyed more than the other, even if just marginally.
All the media are biased and always will be, its a sad truth.
