Because of the one-China policy. Plus all the business US placed in China's booming economy.

Because we cant fight all of the wars all of the time and we are tied extremely tightly right now with China's economy.

We didnt just go to war with Iraq for freedom, that was a nice side effect. We have a right as a country to determine what foreign policy where is in our best interest and pursue accordingly.

There isnt a country on this planet that doesnt do what is in its best interest, yet only the US gets called out for it. We are greedy for going into Iraq yet France and Germany werent greedy for supporting illegal oil contracts for money and allowing the Hussein massacres to occur so they can put more money in their pockets? That is the ONLY reason they wanted us to stay out. So their blood oil could continue to flow. Yet because you dont like the US, we are evil for going into Iraq and stopping someone like Hussein, and France and Germany should be commended, even though their motives for staying out of war were probably more disturbing then ours for going to war.

China is starting to drop communism and my bet is soon it will fall completely and it wasnt because of guns, but because of economics, mostly with the US. China has traditionally gone the way of the money and capitalism and global trading is where the money is right now. They are even now loosening private ownership laws. You have to deal with every country differently. A man like Hussein could only be stopped with bombs. A country like China can easily be persuaded thru diplomatic and economic channels.

Do you really think all countries can be dealt with the same??? I would also like to know what benevolant saintly country you come from that doesnt ever do anything for its own sake and is apparently going around liberating the people around the world.

They don't support Taiwan? You are not serious. Bush is doing everything he can to prevent and delay Taiwan becoming part of the PRC. His actions are all practically indicating he supports Taiwan as an independent country and mainland China can't do a thing about it! He trades with them, acknowledges their President as official...what hasn't he done? Will you be happy only if an actual war starts?
