That is
(2x-4)(2x-4)
Use FOIL
First terms times first terms,
outer terms times outer terms
inner term times inner term, and
last term by last term
2x * 2x = 4x^2
2x * -4 = -8x
2x*-4 = -8x
-4 * -4 = 16
Then combine like terms.

4x^2 -8x - 8x + 16

4x^2 - 16x + 16
4(x^2 - 4x +4)
4(x - 2)(x - 2)
4(x - 2)^2
