I"m 25yrs old...my hubby is 47. We have a GREAT sex life but I'm constantly waiting for that time...when it's just not there.
We've been together for 9yrs.

I don't think there is any pat age or answer for your question. It is different for every individual. Women going through "the change" (menopause) can lose interest but some do not, especially with hormone treatment now. Women may also lose interest after childbirth, because of the stress involved and also hormone issues. Men can also lose interest as they grow older due to lack of testosterone. Some older men have erectile dysfunction but it doesn't mean they have lost the urge, just the ability. Hope this answers your question.

I've worked in two seperate nursing homes and the answer to that question is quite simple -- NEVER. While every person is different, I've found that the majority of elderly people still get aroused and pursue an active sexual relationship with their spouse. I've also seen many older men and women pursue girlfriends/boyfriends around the facility. Usually the only thing that stops a person from maintaining a sex life is a physical or mental handicap of some sort. However, if they can walk, you can bet they are still (or at least still WANT to be) having sex.

Men peak in interest from about 18-25. Women peak in interest from about 28-35. It's a result of chemistry, changing hormones. Yes, guys have hormones, and yes, they do change a little bit. Not nearly as much as women's hormones do, but guys' hormones change and their desire does decrease some because of it. If they completely lose interest, that's not good at any age, except maybe in their eighties and nineties because they don't have the energy or ability at that point.

Michelle says 34!That is the funniest thing I have ever heard in my life.34 is not old.I am a 35 female, and I am just begining in my life.I am sure most 35 year old males are too.I am almost positive they are not ready to throw in the towel, and stop having sex.I look at it this way,as we get older we get better at having sex.We are more experienced, and sex becomes more enjoyable the older we become.

Pretty much when the blood stops flowing when the heart stops -- it's what we all hope for! It's totally normal to have a regular happy sex life into your 70s - and maybe even beyond!

There is no age limit it all depends on the couple or individuals. but if you are having sex on a regular basis then don't !! stop because if you do you will have a harder time getting back into it. as you get older you do start to loose your desire and when this starts to happen consult with your Dr. and he or she can give you good advice or wright you a prescription for 1 of several new ways to get you back to enjoying sex again with confidence. I no I did and I am 52 yrs. old. Life is good .
